These are the guidelines by which we will operate.
nd grade = 8 years old (8U)
rd grade = 9 years old (9U)
th grade = 10 years old (10U)
th grade = 11 years old (11U)
th grade = 12 years old (12U)
th grade = 13 years old (13U)
th grade = 14 years old (14U)
th grade = 15 years old (15U)
th grade = 16 years old (16U)
th grade = 17 years old (17U)
th grade = 18 years old (Unsigned Seniors)
Even if a player is grade-eligible, no player can play in a division where the player is more than 1 year older than the appropriate age for that division. The age-determining date is September 1st each year. Example: a player that is in the 6th grade, but will be 14 by Sept 1st, is not eligible to participate in the 6th-grade division. A player is always welcome to "play up" (participate in an older age division) but may not do the opposite. A player must be able to confirm his/her grade status. This is why we encourage a birth certificate, report card, and photo.
